I have read in reviews of other sword makers how the blade arrived scratched and/or the parts of the Katana were loose. Keep up the helpful job! I will however keep it and attempt to buff out the rust then sharpen. I saw the layers on the sword that made it really stand out. I still look forward to getting a display stand and displaying this thing. I would recommend this to anyone and I am considering buying another. I highly recommend buying this Katana for this reason. First off pictures don't do this sword justice. The first thing I did when i got it was a paper test, after i wiped off all the oil/wax it was coated in for storage/shipping. There was a few scuffs on the blade up near the point but they didn't really concern me, I took off the handle to see the full tang, and getting the bamboo pegs out was sort of a difficult task for the first time, they were in there tight, and getting the handle away from the tsuba was very hard because of how tight it is, (same goes for putting it back on). There is a tiny dent on the front tsuba guard, (the piece between the tsuba and the blade that can't even be removed (at least I couldn't)) however it's so small it's hardly noticable unless the light hits it just right, so it doesn't bother me.
Most of the length of the blade was dull except for the tip. Received it yesterday and was blown away from it's appearance. 5 others (3 from LQ-Swords) Customer service is great, the swords are amazing and i look forward to buting more swords from this seller.
